Who to contact

English for Real Life is an initiative of Missio Dei Ministries. The placement assessment is independently operated by Daniel Martin, creator of ed4every1, and hosted at esl4life.com for English for Real Life learners. For privacy questions, access requests, corrections, or deletion requests, email support@esl4life.com.

Information used to provide your test

Your account email, account identifier, certificate name, purchase record, answers, writing, saved progress, scores, grading feedback, and certificate identifier are stored to provide access, grade your work, issue your result, and resolve support requests. Each completed order is linked to one account and one attempt. Use your own account and enter the full name you want printed on your certificate.

Automatic AI-assisted grading

Your writing responses and assessment instructions are sent to OpenAI for grading. The grading request does not include your account name, email address, or payment details. Anything you type in your response is included, so please invent details when needed and avoid private or sensitive information. The assessment operator can access your responses and results to diagnose technical problems and provide account support. Results are generated automatically.

Results are provisional course recommendations, not official CEFR certification. Listening and speaking are not assessed.

Payments and service providers

Stripe processes card payments through WooCommerce. The website keeps order and payment-status records; card details are entered into Stripe’s payment fields. Hostinger provides website and email hosting. We send account, order, and result-ready emails to your account email address. Result notifications link to your signed-in results page and do not include your writing responses. Email delivery logs are retained for 14 days. These providers process information needed to operate their services under their own privacy terms.

Cookies and technical records

WordPress and WooCommerce use cookies to keep you signed in, maintain your cart, and support checkout. Hosting and payment services may record IP addresses, browser information, and security events to operate and protect the service. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login or checkout from working.

Retention, access, and deletion

Account and assessment records remain available so you can resume saved work, retrieve results, and request support. They are retained until you request deletion or we otherwise remove them; no fixed automatic expiry currently applies to assessment records. To request a copy, correction, or deletion, contact us from your account email and include the relevant order or attempt number. We will verify account ownership before acting. Some transaction or security records may need to be retained for accounting, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Removing assessment records can prevent further access to the associated certificate.

Certificates and external links

Your certificate is available through your account. If you download, print, or share it, it includes your full name, estimated level, and record identifiers. Links to Missio Dei Ministries and ed4every1 take you to separate websites with their own privacy practices.
